  I SWEEP 2010

"Before our trip in Houston I want to explain I-SWEEEP, the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering, and Environment) Projects, is a groundbreaking science fair competition open to middle and high school students. It is the largest science fair event of its kind world-wide. I-SWEEEP is organized by the Cosmos foundation, a nonprofit organization, with the support of K-12 public schools systems, leaders of industry, and higher education instuition. I-SWEEEP works with local, national and international science fair organizations to bring together the top ranking participants and qualifying projects from these competitions. The science fair was held in George R. Brown Convention Center Houston, Texas. There were 706 projects in this year's in ISWEEEP science fair and 70 countries.
The trip was one of the most educational and fun thing I have ever done. After winning third place (Bronze Medal) at the Science fair, I felt happier than a kid at an amusement park! It was a great feeling. We went to three different places to the science museum, Houston zoo, and NASA space center .At NASA I saw the space ship Saturn 5, it was huge.
Before the judging at the fair, Dr Karaca had us practice the speech until 3:00 am. It was very tiring, but worth it all the trouble at the end. During the competition I and Steven were judged by 8 judges. That was the most nerve part of the whole trip. Still this trip was very fun and I recommend joining the competition next year, because I know I'll be there.
This year was the greatest year of my life because I am Kyle went to the ISWEEEP and we won third place (Bronze Medal) which was super fun. We also got to be in a hotel paid for five days. We went to the Houston Zoo and we saw lions, cheetahs and tigers etc. We also went to the museum and saw dinosaur fossils and they had a great gift shop were I bought presents for my family. Then we also went to the NASA space center and I got to see the spaceship Saturn 5 that was super huge . Before the judging started Dr. Karaca made us practice for hours and we just complained but at the end all those hours of practicing were worth it hard work pays off. You should never complain about working because when u don't work hard u won't get to your goals. When you get judged u should keep yourself calm and not panic if you forget part of your presentation. It was really boring when we were getting judge because u have nothing to do and u just have to wait for a judge to come to your project. I hope I come next year because it is really fun work pays off."
